Leonard D. Jacob, who lived in Ridgewood for 46 years, passed away on February 6, 2023. Born on June 24, 1944 in the Bronx to Jerome and Rae, Leonard excelled in math and science and became the first person in his family to attend college at the City College of New York where he received a degree in civil engineering. Leonard’s love of building things led to a long and successful career in construction as a cost estimator and project manager in the Tri-State Area.

A lover of theatre, music, and good food, Leonard enjoyed life. However, his greatest love was his love of family. Leonard is survived by Susan, his wife of 56 years, his son Jeffrey (Andrea Tolchinsky) and his daughter, Sharyn. He was also blessed with three grandchildren-Rachel, Joshua, and Rose.

His funeral service will be held at Robert Schoem’s Menorah Chapel in Paramus, NJ on Thursday February 9 th at 10am.
